Cherilyn began singing professionally and traveling with music groups playing keyboards, guitar, and bass guitar after serving several years in churches as worship leader. She enjoyed playing and singing many styles including Contemporary Christian, Black Gospel, Pop, and Country. The past 11 years Cherilyn has served as the Band Leader at the Lone Star Cowboy Church of Ellis County, Red Oak, Texas, which caused her to return to her roots, performing country and western music. She began associating with the Texas Steel Guitar Association to network with country western swing musicians. These friends have joined her on her new release “Out Of Darkness” to bring a fresh, and uplifting sound for her original songs and hymns.
